A Legacy of Care, A Dream of Hope

For generations, the Sardesai family has stood for service and compassion. Their roots trace back to Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai, the visionary who founded the Talegaon General Hospital in 1925, and Rao Bahadur Govind Sakharam “Riyasatkar” Sardesai, the renowned historian whose work shaped India’s cultural memory.
Group Captain Hemant Sardesai, VrC, added a chapter of valour to this legacy as a decorated Indian Air Force officer who flew critical missions in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War and was honoured with the Vir Chakra for exemplary courage.

Today, Jaydeep and Tanuja Sardesai carry this legacy forward through a deeply personal mission. Inspired by their daughter Avani, a bright young girl on the ASD spectrum, they envisioned a future where young adults like her could live with independence, dignity, and joy—supported by nature, meaningful routines, and a caring community.

From that dream, Aarambh was born.

They have opened their ecologically nurtured family land to create a first-of-its-kind residential haven where therapies blend with the outdoors, and skills grow alongside gardens and farms. Avani’s twin sister, Asmi, now in Class 10, plays an active role in shaping the environment and curriculum, adding a sibling’s insight and warmth to the vision.

For the Sardesai family, Aarambh is more than a project—it is a promise:
a place where young adults can find purpose, belonging, and a future filled with possibility.
